Sped ZS ChroniclesPresented by sped2009-04-25 - Issue 3: Issue 1 page 2 | Jump to Issue: Author Says! Ok here is Page 2 of Issue 1 of Sped Z.S. chronicles. And it did clear up the question of why Sped was knocked out, but to whom he was talking too we will have to wait a while to find out. And yes no more transparent hair. And now it's time for some random Sped Z.S. Chronicles Universe ( SCU) information. The main planet on which this story takes place is called Neo Earth, now whether it's the future of this earth or another earth all together it will all be explained later on in the comic. In SCU all the cell phones, ipods, mp3 players, portable computers, and more have all been ported to watches, and right now both Jay and Nick is talking to Sped through his watch. I also know that there may be a few mistakes so if there is I will try to make adjustments in the future and I hope my art style will see improvement too, the more the comic goes on, the better the art will be as I get more used to drawing in a comic style. Till then later... ~Sped |

| Sonic Remix | Posted: 26 Apr 2009 8:52 pm Post subject: Re: Sped ZS Chronicles Issue 3 :: Issue 1 page 2 It really bugs me when people think that just because Sped's comics get more comments than other artists mean people like Sped's more. Those 55 comments on his intro was made up of arguments and discussions, not friendly "good job" comments. And like I said; the comic was alright, better than I expected. |
| DJ Dude | Posted: 26 Apr 2009 5:09 pm Post subject: It's not perfect but to be only the 2nd page it does seem to be good. And Sped does seem to be trying and it looks like he is taking advice good and as long as he is going to try and change things up I am willing to give him a chance and keep an open mind. After all look at all the improvement since the cover... And it seems to me like this comic is a "comment and views magnet" so far the cover page got 55 replies and almost 480 views and the first page got 31 replies and almost 400 views. All I'm saying is that I guess this comic is pulling people who would normally not comment to well, comment. Great going Zach! Also for hand-drawn ( mouse ) comic it is really not that bad compared to all the crap out there. And who knows, in the long run this comic may end up meeting TSCI standards. I for one want to see what happens next and to see when Sped is going to use this sword http://spedmaster.deviantart.com/art/shadow-art-trade-with-deano-113582870 And about that whole pose thing, well I'm just a little glad he used that one whether then some lame pose ( I don't know why but that is my favorite sonic pose) and I'm glad I didn't have to wait months for the page to come out. So Sped just keep going and improving after all it looks like only you and dean is doing comics lately, well I mean since February... |

That last panel of his fan character was an edit of a Sonic picture. http://sonic.wikia.com/wiki/File:STH_Sonic.png
Glad Pink and I weren't the only ones to notice.
Just because he stole a pose doesn't mean he didn't hand-draw it.
You missed the point. We're not saying he stole a pose. We're saying he did something to the effect of tracing over the picture. Regardless, it's not an original pose. |

| Kjakings | Posted: 26 Apr 2009 10:21 am Post subject: Re: Sped ZS Chronicles Issue 3 :: Issue 1 page 2 Anonymous: Just wait, in a linear-plot comic, even a humour one, it's very hard to make an introductory comic funny, and even if it's not designed as a humour comic, TSCI is the SONIC comic Inc, not the FUNNY Sonic comic Inc. A serious comic wouldn't go amiss. |

| Zach | Posted: 25 Apr 2009 8:27 pm Post subject: yum I only see a few grammar errors, mainly a shortage of commas and for some reason 'guard' instead of 'guard down' in the second panel. But I would say this compares favorably to AJ's early work in text quality. This represents a huge improvement and I can tell you we are glad to see it! I'm sure the series will also continue to improve as a whole. Of course the art still requires improvement but like kjakings said it IS a complete hand-drawn so a little slack should be given. PLUS, at this rate of improvement you really can't complain too much. Something I just saw: You're using JPEG for your file format. Though my software supports it, I'd really recommend you switch to PNG. You won't see compression marks that way and the file size is about the same. You shouldn't need to change how you upload it, just change what you save as on the computer. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what happens next, so keep it up! |
| Sonic Remix | Posted: 25 Apr 2009 6:29 pm Post subject: Re: Sped ZS Chronicles Issue 3 :: Issue 1 page 2 It was okay, apart from a few grammar errors. |
| Kjakings | Posted: 25 Apr 2009 3:57 pm Post subject: Re: Sped ZS Chronicles Issue 3 :: Issue 1 page 2 Not quite EXCELLENT, but not BAD either. All in all, much better than I was expecting, kudos, you've managed to change my opinion about you, which is a VERY hard thing. Not that anyone here knows me or cares. The big robot thing seemed a little generic and cartoony, but apart from that not much to complain about. It could be much worse, considering it's a hand-drawn. And yay for no more transparent hair. |
