2009-06-15 - Issue 4: page 3

Jump to Issue: Author Says! Ok here is page 3 of Sped Z.S. Chronicles : Dark Times Part One (SZSC:DTP1 or SZSC for short). And I did this page in a different style then the last ones, the first cover and 2 pages was done 100% with the computer. However for this page I tried something different, I did the outlining with pencil and then pen and then uploaded it to finish everything else with the computer. But for the next page I'm going to use photoshop so that should bring more effects and a more robust, better look to the comic. Panel 1: Everything came out ok, I guess Panel 2: I always wanted to draw Sped in this pose, really! And the effects took away from the details but somehow made it look better. panel 3: Couldn't get a good BG for it. Panel4: I can't draw trees worth the world, so im going to work on that. And the whole "kidnapping" thing will play heavy in the plot later on. Sorry for being so late but some how 3 jobs suck the time out of my day, I just need to find more time and schedule better. Also I'm working on character bio's and stuff that will be on ether my SA or DA sites, and the SZS-prelog will be coming out this Fall. Till then, later. ~Sped P.S. Sorry for being off topic but, I really can not wait for transformers 2 , the 24th better hurry and come already!

amber	Posted: 16 Jun 2009 5:08 pm Post subject: KJ, Sped did say he sucked at drawing trees.Other then panel 4, every thing looks ok, can't wait for the next one to see what happens next. Sped, the best panel is panel 2, looks nice even with the blur you can still see his cuts and stuff.

sped	Posted: 16 Jun 2009 3:47 pm Post subject: well Sped and the robot is smaller then the trees, and the green and brown at the bottom of panel 4 is my epic failed attempt to draw trees, so you cant see them in the forest because they are so small. and yes that blast would have a huge recoil, but later on I'll explain why there was no recoil, you'll see why. And he can only use this move once every 48 hours, and only the "General" rank or higher can do it.

If it was the blast, then you need to see Sped and the robot in that panel too. A blast doesn't come up over the horizon THEN go in a line like that. That's rediculous. And a blast of that magnitude would A) destroy the mecha from recoil or B) power it down, both from the blast and protecting itself from recoil.
sped	Posted: 16 Jun 2009 12:30 pm Post subject: I'm back...some what... Yes I'm alive... I've been working 3 jobs and I have had no time for nothing! But things are finally starting to cool down a bit, so the next update should not at all take as long as this one, sorry! Also, I SUCK AT DRAWING TREES~ the last panel was supposed to show how big the blast was, it's up to the clouds. luckily I don't have to draw any tree tops for a long, long, long time which should give me time to practice on it. And I'll upload a picture of panel 2 with out the blur on SA so you can see the details that the blurred...blurred out. And Sped may seem to be like sonic now, but things will change... ~Sped
